PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

This quarter has been an interesting one. Many important issues on our plate. The nation's economy , our local market & economy.  Speculation of what is to be, and what stage of it we are in. Keeping a positive attitude & being adaptable are two key factors in surviving the times. We are a special breed, a professional breed, of entrepeneurs and creative people. Keeping the faith that at all times, we  make it through the change, and transition into new times successfully! For we are REALTORS.

AAR Winter Conference... THANK YOU for attending to; Marybeth Hughes, Donna Beedy, Kim Beedy, Nanci Pottinger, Tina Totty. Quite the experience. Great information regarding local stats & market conditions. As well as recommendations on social networking & its benefit to REALTORS®.

ADRE limbo...as our state officials tackle more urgent situations of the state, we await the new governor's appointee as real estate commissioner. Shall keep you posted of any new developments in this realm as soon as anything is known.

Assessor problems...
many have expressed the need for information from the county assessors office. The website is down. Info is hard to come by. Info available on value is not accurate, varies in same subdivisions, on same type properties. Stay tuned for a call to action regarding this topic.

Encouraging all members...
to share your opinion so we (the officers & directors) can make good decisions to benefit YOU.  Call me or any officer or director and let us know what your opinion & suggestions are for this years many important issues.

KUDOS to board members...
for volunteering their time, expressing their thoughts, sharing their expertise & knowledge, in doing what is best for the membership. Many, many  thanks to all for your countless hours of time spent on this years very important issues. Thank you!

Local activity increases as buyers return!
Buyers becoming positive it is a great time to buy & find that GANGA out there. Hoping to find that dream home at a Firesale price.  Needing YOU to make it happen.  Be available.

To move or not to move?
the current market & economy has forced us to look at options to save $ and/or better our facility. Building Task Force commitee chaired by Nanci Pottinger 839-5040 is researching buildings, costs & options. Give her a call if you have an available building for sale/or lease.
