The Arizona Legislature just passed a number of new laws that impact the Arizona real estate industry and mortgage lending profession.
These changes include

Santa Cruz County Board of REALTORS® Fees of $461 per REALTOR® is due on January 1, 2009. The breakdown for Association fees is:
National Association of REALTORS®…………$80
NAR Public Awareness Campaign…………..…$35
Arizona Association of REALTORS®………...$150
Santa Cruz County Board of REALTORS®.…$196
In accordance with the Bylaws-Article X, Section 4. Nonpayment of Financial Obligations will be the following: Santa Cruz County Board of REALTORS® fees are due on January 1, 2009. Fees not received in the Board Office by January 31, 2009 will be considered late and membership will be suspended for the non paying member on February 1, 2009.
Designated Broker of each firm has been mailed an invoice for the licensees in their offices. Designated Brokers please collect fees from the licensees in your office and remit payment to the Santa Cruz County Board of REALTORS®.
CONTINUING EDUCATION
Code of Ethics Training deadline is December 31, 2008. If you have completed a class that satisfies the Code of Ethics requirement please fax certificate to 520-377-9614 or scan & email to coboardofrealtor@qwestoffice.net
If you have not taken a Code of Ethics class, take a continuing education class that satisfies this requirement or go to www.realtor.org for information on completing the requirement through the National Association of REALTORS®. Failure to comply with this required ethics training by December 31, 2008 is a violation of memberhsip duty for which the primary association will suspend membership until training is completed.
