COMMITTEES

 

FUNDRAISING:

          It is the purpose of this committee to plan and implement different strategies for raising funds for the Board.  This committee is responsible planning and coordinating the Annual Golf Tournament.


LEGISLATIVE:

          This committee will pursue local, state and national legislative issues affecting the real estate industry.  Important for local REALTOR® awareness and input at city and county level.


EDUCATION:

          The purpose of this committee is to identify and define the educational, training and informational needs of the entire membership and to develop a coordinated plan to fulfill those needs.  The ultimate goal is to increase the productivity, knowledge, and proficiency of all members so that they can better serve the public.


MEMBERSHIP:

          The membership committee is responsible for reviewing new membership applications and approving applications.  These will then be turned over to the Board of Directors for review and approval.  Also, Membership Committee will propose methods consistent with the Bylaws to aid in recruitment and retention of membership through the Local Board.


FINANCE:

          This committee is made up of the Treasurer, President, President-Elect and Executive Officer.  The purpose of this committee is to formulate and make recommendations concerning strategic and financial planning, investment management control and budgeting and to monitor the Board’s finances to provide efficient utilization of its resources. (closed to volunteers)


RAPAC:

          This committee will coordinated RAPAC donations from members.  The purpose of this committee is to show the importance of what RAPAC does for members and solicit contributions.


PUBLIC RELATIONS:

          It is the purpose of this committee to act to improve the relationship between the realtors® and the community.


DEVELOPEMENT AND URBAN ENVIROMENT 
         This committee coordinates on public issues like water, transportation, utilities, betterment fees, economic development and planning? Work with public officials to help shape public policy that will best protect Private Property Rights. 


HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES
      The housing committee is very active in informing members about fair housing issues, developing programs for housing affordability, sponsoring fundraisers for groups like X-mas in April, present educational seminars for the buying public and working with law enforcement to provide Lockboxes to our Senior Citizens.


MLS COMMITTEE
     The purpose of this committee is to discuss issues and recommend implementations affecting the multiple listing service input controls.
