On October 24, 2007, the U.S. House of Representatives approved legislation to create a National Heritage Area in the Santa Cruz Valley. "The Santa Cruz Valley National Heritage Area Act will help preserve and promote the cultural and natural resources in the Santa Cruz Valley".  The Santa Cruz Valley Heritage Alliance, Inc, has been designated as the management entity for the area. the heritage area would encompass roughly 3,300 square miles in southern Arizona, bordering Mexico." Go to www.santacruzheritage.org and it's important legislation.
