Local Weather

Santa Cruz County has four distinct seasons. The climate tends to be about 10 to 20 degrees cooler, due to its elevation, compared to neighboring Pima County. You can expect wildflowers throughout all seasons with monsoon rains in the summertime that help cool our summer nights. More importantly, our air quality surpasses Arizona's metropolitan areas, due to our higher elevation and smaller communities, we are not affected by heavy motor vehicle traffic that cause smog pollution.
